Digges Valley

I hope it looks "painterly" rather than just blurry, but that's how zooming with my phone camera goes! Anyway, I still like it (especially viewed on black). We took a lovely late afternoon walk along one of our favorite country roads. The sun was getting low, lighting up the fields and intensifying the colors. That's the Blue Ridge in the far distance. After walking for awhile I drove home, as W. wanted to walk the rest of the way back, fixed some pasta for dinner and headed out to find some Halloween goodies for I., whom we'll visit tomorrow. Have just dug out a long green velvet costume cloak for her to wear Monday night trick-or-treating on the Lawn, a UVA tradition.
