unexpected sight

Drove up to Liverpool this morning to visit Mum in hospital.
Went to Crosby beach first to have a walk along the Esplanade and get something to eat and drink from the snack wagon.
I spotted the girls with their horses up on the grass and had a chat to them before they took them down to the beach for a paddle in the outgoing tide....made a change from seeing seagulls pigeons and the occasional dog walker.
By the time we left to go and pick up my Aunty Rose the place was packed out with families making the most of the glorious sunshine
