Teddies for Tragedies

There is a charity - Teddies for Tragedies - which collects and sends teddies to children around the world when there is some sort of tragedy eg earthquake, flood etc etc. sometimes I think they just go to children along with clothes etc in poorer parts of the world. 
In the past I have knitted some but recently I heard that although lots of people knit teddies not many people make the bags which they like to send them in. Making a bag is much quicker than making a teddy so I volunteered to make some and today completed a batch of 20 which I will deliver to a lady who despatches them tomorrow. I have now used up all suitable brightly coloured cotton fabric so have asked a couple of friends who help in local charity shops to look out for suitable fabric which would otherwise just go to a rag bank.

Another lovely sunny and warm day, good to do a bit of tidying and dead heading in the garden as well as a nice dog walk, no need for a coat again!
