Newcastle United Footballing Legend

This morning, I had the honour of meeting Newcastle United footballing legend, Bobby Moncur at the unveiling of a statue of Jack Charlton in the former mining town of Ashington (see extras which include a picture of Jack Charlton’s widow, Pat with the statue). Bobby captained Newcastle in the 1960’s and early 1970’s and was part of the Newcastle team that won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1969, scoring three goals across the two legs of the final.
