Off she goes!

Katie's off on a new course for the next few days. We've not tried the English Schools Orchestra stuff before, so here goes! Round trip to London and back for mama, but Katie safely deposited. She's playing alongside the daughter of a music mum friend so it was lovely to put faces to names today. And she is VERY excited because she's been given the amazing bassoon solo in Rite of Spring. A big bassoon moment for every bassoonist.

The rest of if is a bit disappointing - the food is naff, the accommodation isn't great and she's feeling a bit homesick. But the music is exciting so that's the thing to hang on to.
