Rare sight

When we lived in Poland, Ukranian registered cars were a very familiar sight. This is only the second Ukranian car I have seen here in Gloucestershire. As we go about our familiar routines it is easy to forget the horrors of the war being fought in Europe today. ( I listen to the excellent BBC Ukrainecast early most mornings to keep me as informed as possible.)

The unseasonably mild weather continued. The sun still has surprising warmth as we went for a walk in the byways around the village.

Later we had an entertaining interlude with our local grandchildren. I doubt if I will ever master the computer games they operate so deftly!

Even later, Autumnwatch and Gardener’s World distracted us from thoughts of suffering and war raging on our European continent.
