Succulent

The succulent on the living room window sill has turned itself into a living abstract. Perfect for today's 'natural' Abstract Thursday (with a little help from the 'Invert' effect on Pixelmator). Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting.

The plan for today was to go down to Newcastle so I could pick up my new mobile phone from the Apple Store. We also needed to buy one or two other things not readily available locally.

The Apple Store was busy, and even though I had to wait a few minutes to have the screen protector put on, it really didn't take long to pick up the phone. Next stop was John Lewis, where we chose some cups and bowls to replace our existing cracked and chipped ones, but decided to go back and buy them later so as not to have to carry them round. After a quick look round Grainger Market we had a bite to eat - Greek wraps, absolutely delicious and allegedly 'authentic', though I'm not entirely sure about the chips in the filling!

We were about to look for some work shirts for MrM when my phone rang. It was the estate agent - someone would like to view the flat this afternoon. Hmm, could she come at 4.30 to give us time to tidy up a bit? Fine, said the estate agent, I'll text if it's too late for her. To cut a long story short, we forgot about MrM's shirts, hastily bought some crockery, and dashed back to the car park.

Home in time for a quick hoover round, and some tidying. Then we waited. Well after 4.30 a text followed by a phone call from an apologetic estate agent. A couple of hours previously she'd typed a text to let us know that 4.30 was too late for the woman to view, but had failed to send it!

By then, not much time before yoga. The shiny new phone is still in its box...
