Pink Sky in da Morning, Airport Warning!

Flat calm first thing, mist hanging around places.  A beautiful sunrise, with mist still a threat.  Rain by lunchtime, dried up, and gales tonight, clear too. 

Up at 5am, and an early shift in the airport.  On the check-in desk first thing, then meeting and boarding flights.  Back to the check-in desk in the afternoon.  Most flights in and out on time, apart from Glasgow.  Been down to mam's this evening, Julie is still down.  Me and Laura took Sammy for a walk, then a good yarn over a cuppa.  Off to bed early again. 

A beautiful sunrise this morning, striking pinks and purples in the sky.  Generally red skies, even pink skies in the morning, they are never a good sign of things to come.  It lived up to it's word.  The mist had been hanging about the hills, but around 1140hrs, the mist blew down the hill, just as Glasgow was on approach.  Unfortunately it didn't clear in time, Glasgow got cancelled, and a busy spell sorting passengers travel plans.  Thankfully with the rain and winds picking up, our later flights made it in.  Taken on the apron at 0754am, Sumburgh Airport.
