On lookout
I picked up a few things from the M&S foodhall this morning. I confess I use the self-checkouts because I hate queuing, but always feel rather guilty.
A bit of gardening before lunch and a bit more afterwards, although I was driven indoors by the gardeners in the school playing field. One was mowing up all the leaves, whilst two others were using extremely noisy leaf blowers, and not appearing to be of much use at all. Mower man was doing perfectly well on his own.
This afternoon I've taken a stroll around the big playing fields. I spotted the buzzard in the tree at the top of the horse field but it cleared off before I could get any nearer. I had a brief glimpse of a kite but that cleared off too. There were starlings chattering in the shrubbery but well out of sight.
Anyway I did get a lovely greeting and cuddle from a springer spaniel called Alfie who lives locally. Made my day.
