It's that time of year again . . .

. . . when most shops seem to have chrysanthemums for sale. I wasn't sure why this particular plant is chosen to be taken to the cemetries for the day of the dead (Toussaint).
It seems that from a practical point of view, it flowers well at beginning of November and withstands cold weather. Most French people seem to take this duty seriously and graves get tidied and flowers left on the public holiday.
