This five letter word was displaced in our home by another beginning with C and ending in D. I tested positive for covid this morning having felt rough towards the end of yesterday and through the night. Too much mingling at international business schools eventually got to me, and one can’t help feeling a little stupid, with a few ‘what if I’d been more careful’ thoughts creeping in. The symptoms seem light for the moment - a bad head cold with lethargy. Nothing in the chest or bones or taste buds to report, and just a vague background headache like a turbine whine emanating from the depths of a factory. The brakes have come onto my work activities and Dd, for one, is pleased about that.
