Thursday: Starlings Return

Temperature around 17°C at 2pm … SCORCHIO!!
Morning gardening: green bin emptying tomorrow, so I pulled up a huge patch of mauve Vinca (periwinkle), which had started as a tiny cutting but had spread under the large maple.
Afternoon gardening: collected fallen leaves along the path by the greenhouse, the Robin sang to me as I was working then hopped down from the tree for some tasty snacks!
Late afternoon: cut back overhanging branches of bay, yellow jasmine and roses - green bin almost full now :-)
