Parks and my human has booked her COVID booster.

Today I went to 'Morningside Park' for my first thing in the morning walk. The Morningside Park Circuit Walk is about 40-45 mins.  Morningside Park is pretty small so I'm literally only off my lead for about 5 mins, 'cos we walk in one entrance and go out another. But as we went at 7.30am it was pretty dark and even 5 mins seems like a long time when it's completely deserted. Apparently, we're not going there again first thing in the morning until the Spring.

The plan this morning was..................... I was going to have 'home alone' snooze time while Ann took her poorly friend K to visit another friend for coffee. Unfortunately, fortunately for me that never happened because K was much too poorly today to go out. Ann and her friends feel really helpless but what can you do?

Instead, I got another walk. Yay! We went to 'Braidburn Valley Park' (in this BLIP) which takes about an hour and there's lots of room for me to run about.

This afternoon Ann worked 1-5pm and then took me for another little walk on my lead. I'm back in my bed snoozing now and haven't even touched my dinner.

And in other news.................... just for our own records.................. my human has received her 'snail mail' letter from the Scottish NHS inviting her to book another Covid booster. Yes, she knows in England people just get sent a text message but we're a bit behind the times here. She's in the 50–64-year-old category. However, mini rant coming up............... Her friend who is 64 years old had her COVID booster about a month ago but had to take two buses across town to a centre miles away and didn't get a choice of where she went or an option to change the time or location. And we also know of at least two people who are in their 80s who haven't even been sent app times yet. How the Scottish NHS database works is anyone's guess?????????????

Anyway, the first appointment Ann could get at the centre of her choice was 28 Nov. so that is what she's gone for. At least this time she actually got a choice of location and time. Last year she had NO choice, was unable to change the appointment, and ended up standing in a queue for more than 3 hours at the 'Royal Highland Showground' which is nowhere near where we live.
