Ingram Valley

Weather forecast stated “no rain until 5pm”. So we set off at 12:30 pm to photograph the autumn colours in the beautiful Ingram Valley. As we approached this beauty spot a huge ominous looking black cloud hovered overhead threatening to spill. We parked in the first parking bay we came to and started snapping away. I struggled to get the exposure right on my new camera and then got soaked returning to the car.
We drove further up the valley but the further we went, the harder it rained. On the way back there was a lull in the rain so we stopped again. Being a little bit nimbler than David, I got out of the car quickly and grabbed my mobile to capture the river - got caught in another downpour before David had got his coat out of the boot.
This photo was taken as we left the Ingram Valley and headed home. Yes - an iPhone shot from the car. Yes - it’s stopped raining and is about 4 pm. Lovely dry drive home and spotted a beautifully strong rainbow.
Enjoy.
