Oyster Catchers

There was a lot of heavy rain early, but the day turned mild and sunny, although very windy.

Bob got to choose our day today.  We drove to the beach and had a walk, and saw among other things those oyster catchers, this was as close as I could get though before they took off.

After our walk I treated him to a birthday meal at our favourite restaurant of the moment, Souters, and we had a really nice meal.  Bob  has very basic culinary tastes and I was not surprised that he chose to have cheeseburger with chips, coleslaw and salad.  But not your chain store cheeseburger, this was par excellence (extra).  He followed it with sticky toffee pudding, which he also loves.  He is a happy bunny tonight.
