Also this day was very beautiful, sunny. I couldn't miss it. Once again, I was wandering around the small forest area near home.

In late autumn or early winter, if there is plenty of rowan berries you can see large flocks of the Bohemian waxwings also here in Southern Finland. Here the waxwing nests in the north. In winter, it can also be found further south. I haven't happened to see them this near for ages. Rowan berries are an important part of the waxwing's diet, but berries in general as in the picture. They migrate from one location to another in the winter depending on the rowan berry situation.
