Howgate Wonder

I've employed one of Euan's Playhouse people (and yesterday's pumpkin) to give some perspective to this wonder of an apple.  The harvest has been particularly good this year and the Howgates make a good pie, needing barely any sugar.   Tony spent much of the day processing the apples into pies and puree which are filling up the produce freezer.

It's been one of those cleaning out the kitchen cupboards day and I've done a bit of filling prep for painting the upstairs landing which is looking tired.
