WREN, PARTIALLY ECLIPSED
I know wildlife responds to full solar eclipses but don't know if it was this morning's partial eclipse that seemed to be making the birds a bit agitated. It was still very sunny but with a different quality to the light, I thought. We were halfway along a path, and halfway through the partial eclipse, when we found ourselves surrounded by about four or five wrens making alarm calls. This was the only one I actually saw, and caught it as it was hopping about furiously in the bushes.
Other than that, it was Covid jabs for both of us this afternoon and choir practice this evening.
