We’re both feeling so much better as the virus is destroyed by the defensive systems yet the T line on the test strip is the darkest it’s ever been. Chris says that’s because the test measures proteins from dead parts of the virus and there’s a lot of them around. Apparently the test doesn’t measure living viruses.

It really did scupper plans to meet with Chris and Matt and granddaughter. We did manage a FaceTime this evening which was better than nothing. Thank you for all the sympathy you expressed, it was very much appreciated.

As we were feeling stronger we walked this morning picking up todays blip in the still warm morning sunshine. There’s a web in the shot too.

We had to follow up on some financial admin this afternoon. Still getting the same message from everyone you ring: high volume of calls, your call is important to us. It’s more a case of not wanting to employ people rather than unprecedented demand.

So PM for October and possibly November is Mr Sunak. The only positive is he’s not Boris Johnson. As Campervan Man said: things that were becoming unbelievably horrendous, are now only incredibly bad.
