Water meadow

At the beginning of a route which leads to several different walks from where we are renting - and will be permanently, albeit in a different house - we walk across a meadow. We've often had conversations about the possibility for houses to be built on the meadow. Today we discovered why that is highly unlikely. The level of water lying after a heavy storm is really high. Sighs of relief really!
