Fieldfare #91
A grey sort of a day with not much prospect of sunshine and a real possibility of rain, saw us going for our old "lockdown loop" walk to look for winter thrushes. We have been very successful in the past in seeing all varieties - redwing, song thrush, mistle thrush and fieldfare, so I was quite hopeful given the reports of huge numbers of them arriving in the UK in the past few days. However, the only ones we saw were 3 distant fieldfares. Nice enough, but not the shot I was hoping for.
We arrived home after 4 miles just in time before the rain came. It has not lasted very long so far, but I'm not planning on going out again until this evening when it's camera club again - this week it's a member talk on editing I believe.
