So, the rest of the family have gone to the beach leaving me behind to a) carry on feeling ill and b) mark and moderate science coursework.

I have been using the magic 20 minute intense stint technique interspersed with dismantling a rockery and/or lying flat on the grass or the path slumbering.

There is something nice about getting work done with the doors to the garden open, the sun shining and just the sound of the blackbirds.

There is something infinitely better about being on a beach with your children having fun.

Still, we've had two great days in Poole and I really, really shouldn't complain.

The marking mountain has almost been scaled, at which point, I might have a garden snooze. That's probably the point at which the boys will arrive home!

Here's our path. I love our path!
