In The Cold Light Of Day
After feeling a bit lethargic yesterday I woke up with a sore throat, a headache and aching limbs - I'm hoping it's just a cold and not another word that begins with c and ends with ovid. My brother said he will get a test for me and I'll do it tonight. Fingers crossed it's negative!
As I wasn't feeling great today I didn't go out so you'll have to excuse yet another emergency blip - this is actually the front of our bathroom light. I just like the shapes and patterns. Best I could do for today!
In the cold light of day also describes the reaction to the sh*t show that is the Loco Liz Prime Ministership. They way she floundered in the toe-curling press conference on Friday after throwing her Chancellor under the bus in an attempt to save her own skin, and instigated yet another screeching U-turn, have clearly demonstrated how her ambition has far exceeded her abilities. Her arguments have collapsed under even the lightest of scrutiny and she is simply not up to the job of being prime minister.
She has taken no responsibility for her own disastrous failures, shown no contrition or empathy or that she understands the cost of living crisis affecting millions of people (to which you can now add massively increased mortgage costs due to her reckless actions) - only continuing to trot out meaningless cliches about growth. She has to go.
