Heading to Lake Minchin
Today we left our sleeping gear etc at Casey Hut, and headed to Lake Minchin, calling into the Trust-Poulter and Poulter huts enroute.
Lake Minchin is just east of the Main Divide. We had a mix of river valley, river crossings, river bed, beach forest, scrub, and scrambly stuff.
Back at the Casey hut 26kms later, we decided it was about 5kms further than we anticipated. The return trip was quicker - tail wind, technically downhill, no side trips to huts, and we learned from our route finding errors on the way there.
Today's gratitude: For such beauty and grandeur.
