Kyoto in the sunshine

Spent a lovely day in Kyoto today; firstly at the Silver Pavilion, a very lovely Zen temple which I first blipped here followed by a stunning walk along 'The Philosophers Path' to the Nanzenji Temple where the crowds thinned enough to experience the peace & tranquility so central to places like this. We ended the day with a leisurely wander around Gion, the Geisha district. There were lot of couples in traditional dress having what looked like professional pictures taken, this couple were really excited by their photographs.

Keep things on your trip in perspective, and you'll be amazed at the perspective you gain on things back home while you're away... One's little world is put into perspective by the bigger world out there.
