Seemingly Insignificant

As I walked a thistle-lined trail, my eyes were on the golden glory of the autumn trees. I barely noticed the hairlike blooms of the violet poms until I saw neon movement in my peripheral vision. Then I knew. Thistles aren’t insignificant, prickly weeds. They’re home to amazingly bright neon beatles. Makes it hard to cut down the thistles in my yard.
