Another foray in the rain

We introduced a couple of friends to some of the huge variety of fungi in Roudsea Woods, from small purple jellydiscs and green elfcaps to what was possibly the rare goliath webcap, although was unfortunately well past it's best and quite disgusting.  The photo shows some sort of bracket fungi which have arranged themselves on the phloem around this tree stump, leaving the harder xylem apparently untouched.
