Juicing

Busy day in the village.
First a soup lunch at the village hall - lovely social occasion with plenty of old faves and new.
Then some apple pressing in the afternoon. A few neighbours brought apples along too. It’s a messy job but the masher and press we borrowed from a local community store were brilliant. We did have to compete with a few wasps who sniffed out the sticky juice.
We now have a surfeit of apple juice.
