Sorting!!

We went into Sheringham in the morning to browse, bought a few bits and then had a coffee. The weather was nice and we sat outside. You wouldn't believe it was getting on for November!

After lunch we spent many hours, trying to sort out two filing cabinets which live under our stairs. The first step in our plan to make some space in our house. The lack of storage space is causing a general feeling of claustrophobia. I move things from one place to another, but it just always feels cluttered. So today we managed to empty and throw away a full cabinet's worth of bank statements, payslips and similar paperwork, going back 30 years. There is still more to do, but it was a good start. The remaining, now full cabinet, is going to be moved to the summerhouse. The other one to the loft or charity. Mollie may be able to make use it in the future, so the loft is the current plan if my men can lift it. Then we will have a space under the stairs and we will think about stage 2 of the plan!!

I cooked fajitas for dinner for Henry, Jon and I. Mollie was out with Josh and they came back to play games. Mum and Chris came round and we all played a game of 'Outburst'. A game we have had forever. It is a good one to play in two teams.

Ended the evening with an amusing viewing of Gogglebox. Now bed!
