Saturday Swim

The polar swims start in November so a group of us met up today at Gaddings Dam for a wild dip. We climbed up the hill via the steep path, it was tough going as I’ve had such a long week and been getting home late, I had my covid booster on Thursday and felt a bit rough after it and basically I’m unfit at the moment. Anyway, excuses aside, it was hard but I got there….and I wasn’t the last to get to the top. It was lovely and sunny, but quite windy. The water was cold and choppy and we absolutely loved it!!

We then had a hike down the nice path as there was no way I could go down the steep one. We went to the garden centre for a very tasty and well earned brunch before heading home.

Pat and I went to Ellen’s this afternoon for a catch up and some of her homemade parkin. Now I’m absolutely shattered so it will be an early night and then a lie in.
