The final control

We had a trip to Thorne in South Yorkshire for some urban orienteering. This is team mate Barrie finishing strongly.

However it did not quite go to plan When Richard tripped near the finish and face planted on the road. Fortunately it was near the fire station who quickly responded. I was alerted by another competitor as I walked Jet round the park. It was quite a challenge working out a route to pick him up in the car.

There was a discussion about needing an assessment because of a head injury. In the end I drove him to our local hospital and he was patched up and sent on his way. He looks as though he has done a few rounds in a boxing ring! I am now on concussion watch overnight. All is fine at the moment.
