"Well, George, this café has definitely gone downhill lately. There’s hardly any sunflower seeds left here. What is the world coming to?"

"I know, it’s tough, Fred, but the word on the bough is the owner’s been a bit poorly, so she hasn’t been able to get in to work today."

"Well, couldn’t her old man have stepped in then? I mean, it’s the least he could do for us special customers, George."

"No, Fred, I’m told he’s been too busy looking after her, and then going to look after some of their grandchildren too. So we’ll forgive them, right?"

"Righto, George. I expect she’ll be back tomorrow."
