A year and a month…

The wildflowers are out as are the birds that have enjoyed a day of no rain today.
On Thursday evening we had 70mm of rain (north of Narrabri had 180mm) and another 18 on Friday. So I got flooded in, unable to get through the water for only the second time in the 16 years we’ve been living here. Today, the creeks have slowed but there is water lying everywhere in the paddocks.

Today is 1 year on from Dad’s passing and 1 month on from that of my brother G. It’s been tough and we are all still struggling.

But what can we do but keep saying their names and continuing to live and do things we love. Life is short…
