OK...where do I pay??

I stopped by this fruit stand with lots of apples to choose from....quite a ways off the main roads...


I looked around to see where I could pay...no tin boxes or anything .


Then I heard a little bell that sounded like it was coming from the house.


See Extra:  the lady on the balcony was ringing it.  But where to put the money???


She didn't speak English...but through hand signals and the like..haha...she agreed to let me take her picture...and gave me a thumbs up when I was all done paying and taking the picture.


So....how did I get the money to her when she was way up there???


PS...the Ambrosia  apples were fantastic:-)
