Trafalgar Day

‘I see no ships!’* In fact I had never seen this view of the lake on our road before. A gate had been left open. The cormorant seems to have colonised the duck house!

It rained heavily today but the brightness between the showers was welcome and allowed the gutters to drain. The car drivers soaking pedestrians by speeding through deep puddles were disappointing to see.

The first races of the NH season began at Cheltenham today.
