Fluffy pink flower (Day 2723)
My day started with a dark o'clock wander with Sigyn, then after sorting stuff at home, I headed to town to try and track down a fitting which might help with a problem I expected to arise on the bathroom re-fit later in the day. I had no luck and trundled off the bathroom re-fit to get organised to do the plasterboarding. Typically, it was windy and raining while I was outside moving and cutting the sheets, but I managed to get it done by lunchtime.
After lunch I started getting the shower tray ready to fit. Which is where I met the expected problem. The existing waste pipe is too high off the floor to connect to. The customer doesn't want to spend the money to change the soil stack from cast iron to plastic which makes it difficult to connect to. I had suggested that building a platform for the tray would be the sensible way forward, but the customer doesn't want that either. Instead, we have a tray which stands on little legs and the gap between the tray and the floor is filled in with a plastic panel which follows the curve of the tray. The tray, on its little legs is nearly an inch too low to join to the waste pipe. I left the job after giving the customer a few options for ways to proceed with the job. I suspect that he will want to go for the most difficult option.
Back home I snapped a pic or two of some fluffy pink flowers while waiting for my beautiful wife to come home from work.
