A Day In The Life

Quack-Quack

A chilly windy day but the sun was bright and beautiful. After a leisurely breakfast we left to run some errands, including dropping off our ballots for November’s mid-term elections. It was a pleasure voting for our Governor again, Janet Mills, who masterfully guided our state through a pandemic while still balancing the budget. I could list her accomplishments but take my word when I say she’s a keeper • I’m glad I brought my camera because we stopped at the river in Augusta and got to see not only mallards, but cormorants, too! The cormorants were a surprise since we thought they had already moved on. Another surprise was hearing Canada geese off in the distance. We heard them coming closer so we kept our eyes to the sky. Suddenly a large “V” appeared above the trees and moved directly over our heads. What a thrill to see them :) • Hope you’re having a fabulous Friday, and enjoy the weekend ahead!
