Singing In The Rain

A bit of an emergency blip today. Just a snatched photo in Leicester Square as evidence that we’re on a day trip to London, taking advantage of the regular, fast trains from Bletchley into Euston. £25 return, including unlimited tube travel, seemed quite reasonable to me.
There were several shows we fancied seeing this evening but, with it being Friday, they were pretty well all sold out - or the only tickets on offer were more than we were prepared to pay. So we’re going to see an old favourite, “The Play That Goes Wrong”. This will be the sixth time we will have seen it (including earlier this year!) but I just know that it will amuse as much as the first time.
Of course, we could have gone to Downing Street where an even bigger farce is being performed, but that particular show ceased being funny a long time ago.
With a couple of hours still to while away before the play starts, we’ve taken advantage of our tube tickets and travelled out to North Greenwich. Then we’re going to catch the River Boat back to Embankment, thus passing the time with a cruise on the Thames.
Luckily, whilst it was drizzling when we were in Leicester Square - hence choice of picture & title - it has remained dry since so no sitting in the theatre in damp clothes tonight!
