One For The Fence Club

In Holland, it is quit common to find allotments along the railroads. That is because the Dutch Railroads, the NS, owned the land along the sides of the railroads. In the last century they offered it to its employees. So they could grow their own food. Most of the employees were very poor.

The location of our allotment is no exception. Enjoying this beautiful day at our allotment I went up the slope to the railroad to get a view. Looking down I saw this fence and, as a bonus, my shade.

So here is one for The Fence Club. But, it is also a self portrait then, you could say.
