Organised chaos

Just happened to glimpse this through a window as I was walking by, and it's the only photo I took today. Meanwhile, disorganised chaos was taking place across the English Channel. Yes, the lettuce won, as we all knew it would. It wasn't nearly as exciting as the day Margaret Thatcher resigned though. There was dancing.

It's been strange weather: overcast and humid but very warm. We were invited to dinner at S and T's last night, along with H and M. It was 22C at 8 pm, and we sat on the terrace for our aperos. It was still pretty warm when we got home just after midnight.
