Rear Wast Hoose

A cloudy day, breezy all day, with the winds picking up tonight.  Thankfully dry all day.

Just after midnight last night, a scallop boat (or whatever it was) broke through the Internet and mobile subsea cables, leaving Shetland without connections today.  It's lead to a day of havoc across the isles for most businesses and homes.  I popped along Laura on my way to work.  A late shift in the airport today, and a hectic day it's been. No Internet meant it was manual boarding and manifests.  Thankfully power was restored by 4pm, and we caught up with ourselves. A few delays were caused.  After a late finish, walkies with Sammy and now much needed feet up.

Just before heading to Laura's, I stopped off to stretch the legs.  Unknown to me at this point, I was all relaxed and unaware about what was happening at work, especially since there was no contact via social media or mobile phones.  I had been looking to see if there had been anymore work done to this old house.  It's been going under a renovation project, which had been ongoing for a few years now.  I always thought it would make a great country pub.  Taken at West House, Cunningsburgh.
