A Bit of a Scrap
A working day, where I did get out in the pouring rain to carry out a visit to a noise complainant, but again spent the rest of the day at a computer.
Of course this day will be remembered for the resignation of Liz Truss as leader of the Conservative Party, something that has seemed inevitable for quite a few days.
I was sitting in the lounge late in the afternoon when the family of goldfinches came visiting the bird feeder. It is quite apparent there is a pecking order for feeding and there were regular altercations between the birds when this order was disturbed. Things changed however, when the greenfinches turn up and being a lot bigger, they bully the smaller birds if they have the temerity to try and feed in close proximity.
I did have a rarer visitor at one stage, a nuthatch, but although I did get a single shot it was not up to much. Let's hope it visits again.
