Full breeding plumage

I have blipped this Southern Red Bishop in his transition stages, and here he is, ready to breed. Let's hope he finds a suitable mate. I am fascinated at the way these birds are transformed each year.  
I have had a productive day cooking for the deep freeze. With the load shedding schedules being changed all the time, one has to be prepared.
Coda is having problems with her "good leg". She has been limping...the thought of another op is not a good one. The vet has x-rayed the leg, there is a slight tear in the cruciate ligament. We are treating it conservatively with anti inflammatories and rest. Poor Coda, she can't understand why she's not allowed to play or go for walks. We will persevere - anything to avoid further surgery.
