What a feeling and Edinburgh You're Next
The picture above, taken by Oor Shaun, featured in last weeks Sunday Post and I don't think you could find a better picture that captures the emotion Oor Kiltwalkers feel as they cross the finish line after 26 miles.
It's an emotion borne out of physical achievement along with relief that it's over. However it's seeing many of the children that Oor Charities support, waiting at the finish line to cheer you on, that really makes it all seem worthwhile.
So Edinburgh prepare yourself because if you thought you were just going to come along, walk and leave . . . you've another thing coming as the event will suck you in and make you a Kiltwalker for life.
If you don't believe me, just ask the fifty or so Hampden to Loch Lomond Kiltwalkers who after taking part two weeks ago, simply couldn't wait another year and have signed up to take part on the 19th May.
So when you approach that line Embra people, get ready for a sense of achievement you'll simply never forget.
