The Singing Ringing Tree

When I saw this tree today, just over the road from my house,  with it's beautiful circle of fallen leaves I thought of the 'singing ringing tree' a weird, magical children's adventure story re-made in 1964.  A snippet of the weirdness here.

In trying to remember the story I disappeared down a google rabbit hole and found out that there is a modern version of the tree near Burnley in Lancashire!

I wonder how many friends of mine remember that film?
