More Fires, More Smoke

This is the view from my back door.  The smoke is so thick I can barely see the hills on the other side of the lake.  Lots of people are coughing and complaining of irritated eyes, me included.  There have been some evacuations south of me which can't be good and I feel so bad for those folks whose homes are threatened.  The fires are all over the place; some down in Oregon and some in Eastern Washington, moving north and west.  It's so sad to hear of all the acreage burning and I can't help thinking of all the forest animals that are suffering and trying to relocate out of the fires' way.  
We desperately need some rain which we usually have by this time of the year.  There are rumors of a storm coming our way but I'll believe it when I see it.
