A Mischief of Magpies

There are many common  nouns to describe a group of magpies but perhaps the most common is mischief.  It’s been a beautiful day, very warm and just like summer and these magpies were enjoying themselves and making a tremendous noise as we went for a short walk today.

On the other side of the world in Benalla in Victoria Australia my cousins are watching the flood waters and hoping that they can reach their local supermarket.  Apparently more rain is forecast.   (See the extra photo).  The weather patterns are very concerning.
