DHOLO

Hello Shane and Anu. Even though this photo is adorable, what was actually going on is Anu was deleting all the photos from Shane's camera and he was trying to wrestle the camera out of her hands. Great shot I think!
The point is, I'm really happy to be living with these guys next year (as Shane confirmed a couple days ago!).

So today we went to a safari / zoo / amusement park. Our mastermind social sec Eve's idea for a photosoc social! Thanks to Shane and Ali for driving us in the minibuses all the way to West Midland Safari and Leisure Park. Despite all the traffic and the initially bleak weather, it was great fun, especially when the sun came out! Elephants, tigers, camels, hippos, penguins... Amongst other things, we got rides down the water flume. Shane, Matt and me managed to look like we were in the middle of an intense conversation when the snap photo got taken, but kudos to Tim and Alex who managed to look like they were in the middle of an intimate moment! Ali, Shane and me failed at scoring hoops to win a giant FISH! We ate ice cream, fudge, burgers etc. All in all it was a great day. Next time we might buy some crates of beers, go on a less busy day and make it a road trip. Hell, borrow a minibus by "claiming" we're doing it as a social again! Good times.

Sidenote, I decided to use my film camera all day, so thanks to Jack for lending me his beast D7000 + 70-200 f/2.8 combo to get a couple digital shots including this one before the minibuses left.

PS. to those who weren't in our van, title in reference to a dhole, named Dholand, who was chilling by some electric fences. Yo, dholes are endangered!
