Ha Long Bay

The conference has finished, but a few of us were staying on a bit longer, so went on a trip to Ha Long Bay together. A very flash minibus picked us up, and took us to the tourist Centre, to get on our cruise. It was a lovely boat, they served a fantastic seafood lunch. The scenery was incredible, the karst limestone rock formations shooting vertically up from the sea, covered in greenery. There were few tourists around, and many things to visit are still closed around since COVID.
The highlight was the kayaking trip around the a few of the islands, and through these caves. We also went to an incredible cave Thien Cung or Heaven cave. The sun was setting as we made our way back to Hanoi in our minibus. It really was the most incredible day out, beautiful scenery, excellent guide and company.
