I drove to West Lothian today via the Queensferry crossing but encountered heavy traffic and delays due to a road closure so decided to return to Fife via the Kincardine Bridge. On the way I stopped in Bathgate for a look around, just because I've never been there. The town centre looks much like many others nowadays with some empty units and a few derelict properties in amongst the usual range of shops. This building was the Dreadnought Hotel but closed some years ago and has remained empty since then. Despite that, the hotel can still be found on a couple of booking websites though it seems that rooms are unavailable!
